Web Designer and Developer

Job Description:

Small, fast paced technology company seeking full time web designer and developer.  Candidate must be able to create websites from scratch, starting with the design concept and following through the development process.  Preferred candidate will be creative and have a background that combines graphic design, web technology and an understanding of web standards, usability and security.  Candidate will also possess knowledge in setting DNS records and familiar with Windows 2003 IIS 6.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with clients to learn more about website needs.
• Create website design concept to present to clients.
• Execute development of website utilizing various programming languages (ASP, PHP, Coldfusion, X/HTML).
• Maintain and update existing websites hosted in house.
• Act as a liaison between company and PR person.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years in website design and development.
• Proficient in X/HTML validation and CSS styling and layout.
• Proficient in multi-browser optimization.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• E-Commerce experience preferred.
• Coldfusion and X/HTML programming skills required (ASP, PHP and Java Script preferred).
• Strong graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash).
• Must be able to work on Mac and Windows environment.
• Knowledge of setting up DNS records and managing Windows 2003 web server.
• Knowledge of SEO preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of MSSQL 2000, 2005 and MySQL.
